How to Find Us
Full Directions are provided once your holiday is paid for. Pilgrim’s Barn is located in Little Baddow, near Chelmsford, Essex.
By Car, from the A12
- From the A12 north or south bound, exit at Junction 18 for the A414 towards Danbury
- Continue along the A414 for about three miles (5 kilometres) east, towards Maldon, to the Danbury village green and double mini-roundabout.
- Turn left here onto Little Baddow Road and proceed for exactly 2 miles (3.2 kms) down a steep hill.
- Turn left into Holybread Lane, 200 yards/metres after the Rodney pub.
- Pilgrims Barn is on the left after 200 metres/yards – just before the road names “Rysley”.
By Train (Greater Anglia)
- Catch the train from London Liverpool Street or Stratford
- Leave the train at Chelmsford or Hatfield Peverel
- Where you can be picked up by family or friends or get a taxi to Little Baddow (20 minutes by road)
There are frequent trains to Chelmsford (about 40 minutes from Liverpool Street)
Trains to Hatfield Peverel (about 45 minutes) are regular but less frequent (this station is much nearer to Pilgrims)
A new major rail station and transport hub for Chelmsford will be opening in late 2025 – please check with Greater Anglia or us
We have a good service from the east (Norwich and Colchester) direction
We can collect you from the station by arrangement – or use a taxi
